This study evaluated the surface roughness and wear resistance of artificial teeth acrylic resin submitted to the test of attrition. 10 central incisors and 10 maxillary lateral incisors of each brand - Biotone (Dentsply), Trilux (Vipi) and Soluut PX (Kota) – were selected. The samples were subjected to the measurement of surface roughness on roughness tester (Mitutoyo SJ -201) with a speed of 0.5 mm / s for 30 seconds and read length of 0.25 mm; measurement of cervical- incisal height using a digital caliper (Mitutoyo Digimatic Caliper), as well as measuring the weight of each pair of samples (lateral incisor and central incisor) on a precision balance (Shimadzu AUW220D) before and after the test. We used a mechanical brushing machine, simulating movement of attrition between the labial surface of the central incisor and incisal surface of the lateral incisor. The samples were subjected to 40.000 cycles immersed in distilled water. The results were analyzed by paired t test (p < 0.05). There was no statistically significant difference with respect to surface roughness before and after the test of attrition. All trademarks studied showed significant reduction in cervical- incisal height, but showed no significant reduction in their weight, except Soluut PX. After the Kruskal -Wallis test, it was found that there was no difference in roughness between the trademarks.en
