Romance memorial (ou familiar) e memória cultural : a necessidade de transmitir em Um defeito de cor de Ana Maria Gonçalves

Abstract

O artigo tem por objetivo aproximar os conceitos de Memória Cultural e Romance Memorial na medida em que ambos têm na memória genealógica e nos processos de transmissão suas bases epistemológicas. O artigo procura mostrar que o romance contemporâneo transita da interioridade (escritas de si) para a anterioridade (necessidade de desvendar traços da ancestralidade do narrador) e aporta exemplos retirados do romance da autora afro-brasileira Ana Maria Gonçalves, Um defeito de cor (2010) que, através de 950 páginas, retraça a busca de uma ex-escrava por seu * lho e a estratégia de preservação da Memória ancestral através das funções de transmissão, revivescência e re/ exividade, apontadas pela teórica Anne Muxel (2007).

The paper aims at bringing the concepts of Cultural Memory and Memorial Novel since both have in family memory and transmission processes their epistemological foundations. 3 e article attempts to show that the contemporary novel moves from interiority (writings about oneself) to anteriority (need to reveal traces of the narrator´s ancestry) and will contribute examples from the novel of the Afro-Brazilian author Ana Maria Gonçalves, Um defeito de cor (A color default) (2010) which, through 950 pages, traces the search of a former slave for her son and the preservation of ancestral memory strategy through transmission functions, revival and re/ exivity, as indicated by the theorist Anne Muxel (2007).
