This paper deals with a simulation of an electrochemical cell, more specifically a eletrolysis. This system is composed of at least two metallic electrodes and an electrolyte. By forcing the passage of electric current through the system two electrochemical reactions occur on the surface of the electrodes that are at the interface with the electrolyte. These reactions are proportional to the amount of current through the surface. The electric current is proportional to the local electric field. The electric field depends on the geometry of the system. And, often, the configuration of the parts where the deposits are made are such that these result showing variable width or even porosities. In this work we consider a model system to address this and try to control through an external potential the regions in which there is excess or lack of the reactions of oxidation or reduction interfering with the surface current density.en
