Conhecendo e compartilhando ações e práticas escolares em Botânica

Abstract

Existem ainda muitos enfrentamentos para o Ensino de Botânica na Educação Básica e devido à consciência de que estudar as plantas é fundamental, já que elas são essenciais à manutenção da vida, muitos pesquisadores e docentes vêm criando propostas alternativas para se ensinar e aprender Botânica. Por meio do conhecimento e compartilhamento de ações e práticas voltadas para o Ensino de Botânica, este estudo tem como principal objetivo motivar docentes a explorarem o assunto Botânica, empregando abordagens mais interessantes e contextualizadas, além de utilizarem diferentes espaços educativos, estimulando, assim, os alunos a gostarem das plantas. Esta pesquisa realizada em Porto Alegre (Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil) compreende a revisão bibliográfica, o levantamento de áreas verdes, a busca por ações e práticas de educação ambiental em Botânica realizadas por órgãos públicos e instituições públicas e privadas, a realização de entrevistas com sujeitos dessas instituições e, finalmente, a criação de um blog para acesso a áreas verdes. Percebe-se, a partir dos resultados, que nem sempre há empecilhos para o Ensino de Botânica. Tenta-se pelas instituições pesquisadas que a temática (Botânica) seja trabalhada de maneira agradável, sobretudo, por meio do contato direto do estudante com as plantas na natureza, e que este ensino esteja ligado diretamente para fins de educação ambiental. Portanto, este trabalho, ao compartilhar as ações e/ou práticas em Botânica, incita o professor a despertar no estudante o interesse e a curiosidade pelas plantas para, assim, valorizá-las como provedoras da vida.

There are still many confrontations for the Teaching of Botanics in primary and lower secondary education and knowing the importance of the study of plants, since they are essential to life, many researchers and teachers have been working on alternative methods for the Teaching of Botanics. Through the exchange of actions and practices for the Teaching of Botanics, this study aims to induce teachers to explore the botanical knowledge, employing more interesting and contextualized approaches, and also to use different learning spaces, making students love plants. This research was made in the city of Porto Alegre (State of Rio Grande do Sul), and comprises a literature review, an inventory of green zones, the search for actions and practices of environmental education in Botanics carried through the government and public/private institutions, a set of interviews with agents of these institutions and, finally, the creation of a blog for the access to green zones. The results make us perceive that we do not have permanent barriers to the Teaching of Botanics. Through the institutions inspected we intend that the theme (Botanics) may be studied in the most pleasant way, mainly through direct contact between the student and plants in its own environment, and this learning may be deeply linked to the objectives of environmental education. Therefore, this study, by exchanging actions and/or practices in Botanics, incites the teacher to fill the student with interest and curiosity for the plants, recognizing them as life providers.
