Indexação da legislação: o processo realizado na biblioteca do Tribunal de Justiça do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul

Abstract

Discute a importância do controle e gestão de informação jurídica, especialmente informação legislativa. Aborda a indexação da legislação que ocorre na biblioteca do Tribunal de Justiça do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul para um controle de atos legais de acordo com a necessidade da entidade e dos usuários. Busca mostrar como objetivo geral o processo de indexação legislativa realizada nessa biblioteca e compará-lo com a bibliografia existente. Apresenta revisão de literatura a biblioteca especializada, a biblioteca jurídica, a informação jurídica, a organização da informação, a indexação, os instrumentos para a organização da informação e a indexação da legislação. Explana como forma de coleta de dados a entrevista estruturada com base na bibliografia de Cecília Atienza sobre documentação jurídica e indexação legislativa. Apresenta breve histórico do locus de pesquisa. Discorre o processo minucioso de indexação da legislação com base nas entrevistas realizadas com as bibliotecárias que trabalham com esse tipo de indexação. Compara o método empregado para a indexação legislativa nesse ambiente e com a literatura buscada. Considera como pontos finais de observação a importância das diferenças entre o que a bibliografia apresenta como teoria e o que a biblioteca adaptou para a sua prática.

It presents the importance of the control and management of juridical information, in particular legislative information. It approaches the legislation indexing that occurs in the Court of Justice of the State of Rio Grande do Sul’s library for a legal acts control according to the entity’s necessity and users’. It has the objective of showing the legislative indexing process accomplished in this library and compare it with the existing bibliography. It exposes the literature review about specialized library, juridical library, juridical information, information organization, indexing, instruments for information organization and legislation indexing. It uses as a form of data collect the structured interview based on Cecília Atienza’s bibliography about juridical documentation and legislation indexing. It presents a brief history of the research locus. It discourses about the thorough process of legislation indexing based on the interviews made with the librarians that work with this type of indexing. It compares the appointed method for legislative indexing in this environment and with the sought literature. It considers as final points of observation, the importance of the differences between what the bibliography presents as theory and what the library adapted for its practice.
