Abstract

O presente trabalho de artes visuais trata da produção de peças de cerâmica em formato arredondado, agrupadas verticalmente, formando pilhas. A produção das obras foi o resultado da pesquisa sobre a fusão da cerâmica com vidro durante a queima em diferentes temperaturas. A criação foi motivada pelo desafio de explorar as diferentes possibilidades de agregar o vidro sobre, dentro e entre as partes de massas de cerâmica, bem como a utilização de leds no interior das peças para enfatizar as porções translúcidas. A questão artística permeia a coexistência de elementos complementares que possuem características contraditórias. A dura, inquebrável e compacta cerâmica, e o aparentemente frágil, translúcido e leve efeito do vidro. A apreciação da estética da composição das pilhas pode gerar diversas interpretações, pois há variedade de formatos, tamanhos e cores, que tornam antinatural a sua existência.

This work deals with the visual arts production pottery stones format, grouped vertically forming cells. The production of the works was the result of research on the fusion of ceramic with glass during firing at different temperatures. The creation was motivated by the challenge of exploring the different possibilities of adding the glass on, within and between parts of ceramic bodies as well as the use of LEDs inside the parts to emphasize the translucent portions. The artistic question permeates the coexistence of complementary elements that have contradictory characteristics. The hard, unbreakable and compact ceramic, and the seemingly fragile, translucent and light effect glass. The appreciation of the aesthetics of the composition of the stones cells can generate different interpretations as there are variety of shapes, sizes and colors, which make unnatural its existence.
