A disciplina de Arte Decorativa no Instituto de Artes da UFRGS : 1910 A 1951

Abstract

Esta pesquisa se debruça na experiência da Arte Decorativa no Instituto de Artes da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul durante o período que tem origem em 1908 na criação do Instituto de Artes e se estende até o ano de 1951. No presente trabalho analisa-se uma série de documentos presentes no Arquivo Histórico do Instituto de Artes, tais como documentos regulatórios e as cadernetas de frequência da disciplina de Arte Decorativa. Este trabalho busca a relação entre a disciplina de Arte Decorativa e as politicas pedagógicas do Instituto no período analisado, e seus reflexos em sala de aula.

This research focuses on the experience of Decorative Art in the Art Institute of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul during the period that originated in 1908 in the creation of the Institute of Arts and extends until the year 1951. This work analyze a number of documents in the Art Institute Historical Archive, such as regulatory documents and frequency books of the Decorative Art discipline. This paper seeks the relationship between the discipline of Decorative Art and the pedagogical policies of the Institute in the given period above, and their reflections in the classroom.
