Derrota de um mundo, vitória da utopia : interpretação e representação do Artiguismo através da película La redota una historia de Artigas

Abstract

Este trabalho aborda, através de um esforço de análise fílmica, como Artigas e o artiguismo foram tratados na película La Redota: Una Historia de Artigas. No primeiro capítulo, com a ajuda dos referenciais teóricos de Marc Ferro e Rafael Hansen Quinsani, tratamos de questões concernentes à relação Cinema-História e estabelecemos nossa forma de análise. No segundo capítulo, tratamos dos contextos históricos que envolvem os dois momentos da película (1812 e 1884), além de falarmos um pouco sobre a biografia de Artigas e o contexto em que o filme foi feito. No terceiro capítulo, tratamos de narrar o filme e analisá-lo. As perguntas que fizemos ao nosso objeto foram: 1) De acordo com a película, como a imagem e, principalmente, como as ideias de Artigas foram apresentadas e tratadas nos dois momentos temporais distintos da película? 2) É possível identificar os motivos que levaram Artigas e suas ideias a serem tratadas do jeito que foram? 3) Compreender o que um pensamento como este ainda tem a nos dizer hoje, segundo o filme. 4) Compreender porque se tornou importante hoje resgatar este pensamento.

This work deals, through an effort of movie analysis, how Artigas and artiguismo were treated in the movie La Redota: Una Historia de Artigas. In the first chapter, with the help of theoretical references of Marc Ferro and Rafael Hansen Quinsani, we treat questions regarding the relationship Film-History and established our form of analysis. In the second chapter we handle the historical contexts that involve the two moments of the movie (1812 and 1884) and we talk a little bit about the biography of Artigas and the context in which the film was made. In the third chapter we try to narrate the movie and analyze it. The questions asked to our object were: 1) According to the movie, how the image and especially Artigas’s ideas were presented and processed in two different temporal moments of the movie? 2) It is possible to identify the Artigas’s reasons and his ideas to be treated the way they were? 3) Understanding what this thought still tell us today according to the movie. 4) To understand why rescue this tought has become important today.
