Efeitos clínicos e radiográficos do aparelho "Lip Bumper" : relato de caso clínico

Abstract

Foram reportados os resultados do tratamento interceptativo através do uso do aparelho “Lip Bumper” em um paciente tratado na Disciplina de Ortodontia Clínica do Curso de Graduação da FO UFRGS. Observou-se melhora da oclusão e posição dos incisivos inferiores no período do tratamento, bem como a correção do pressionamento atípico do lábio inferior e consequente melhora da posição no sentido anteroposterior dos incisivos inferiores.

In this paper were reported results of interceptive treatment using Lip Bumper appliance in a patient treated at the FO UFRGS Orthodontics Clinic. Improvements were observed in the occlusion and in the position of the lower incisors through the time of the treatment, as well as the correction of the atipical pressure of the lower lip and consequentely improvements of the anteroposterior position of the lower incisors.
