Responsabilidade social, educação informática e informação : o projeto Cidadania Micro na Escola/SERPRO

Abstract

Descreve e analisa as propostas iniciais referentes à incorporação de conhecimentos informáticos de um projeto de inclusão social do Serviço Federal de Processamento de Dados (SERPRO), em Porto Alegre, na Escola Estadual de Ensino Fundamental Euclides da Cunha. O referido projeto integra-se a uma política de responsabilidade social, na qual a Empresa busca, através de seus funcionáriosvoluntários, capacitar jovens estudantes em conhecimentos informáticos. O trabalho caracteriza-se como um estudo de caso, de abordagem qualitativa. Tem como objetivo avaliar se o Projeto Cidadania Micro na Escola cumpriu os seus propósitos de inclusão social, buscando encontrar evidências dessa inclusão através da análise das ações do Projeto. Foram realizadas entrevistas focalizadas com a diretora da Escola e com o idealizador do Projeto. Também foram aplicados questionários com instrutores, alunos e ex-alunos. Os dados e informações coletados foram analisados e interpretados de forma descritiva, em conformidade com os objetivos propostos inicialmente. A partir da análise das informações obteve-se as seguintes percepções: cumprimento dos propósitos iniciais do Projeto Cidadania Micro na Escola, no que se referem à incorporação de conhecimentos informáticos pelos alunos participantes; capacitação para o mercado de trabalho; desenvolvimento de habilidades dos instrutores e dos alunos; aumento/recuperação da auto-estima dos mesmos; valorização da Escola e da comunidade escolar e ocupação do tempo livre dos alunos. Verificou-se que o Projeto trouxe ganhos e melhorias à Escola Euclides da Cunha; entretanto, os resultados do Projeto seriam mais eficazes se houvesse a continuidade no contato dos alunos com os computadores.

This study it describes and it analyzes the referring initial proposals to the incorporation of informáticos knowledge of a project of social inclusion of the Serviço Federal de Processamento de Dados (SERPRO), in Porto Alegre, in the State School of Basic Education Euclides da Cunha. The work is characterized as a case study, of qualitative boarding. It has as objective to evaluate if the Projeto Cidadania Micro na Escola fulfilled its intentions of social inclusion, searching to find evidences of this inclusion through the analysis of the actions of the Project. Interviews focused with the director of the School and the idealizer of the Project had been carried through. Also questionnaires with instructors, pupils and former-pupils had been applied. The collected data and information had been analyzed and interpreted of descriptive form, in compliance with the objectives considered initially. From the analysis of the information, one got the following perceptions: fulfilment of the initial intentions of the Projeto Cidadania Micro na Escola, in that if they relate to the incorporation of informáticos knowledge for the participant pupils; qualification for the work market; development of abilities of the instructors and the pupils; increase of auto-esteem of the same ones; valuation of the School and the pertaining to school community and occupation of the free time of the pupils. It was verified that the Project brought profits and improvements to the Euclides da Cunha School; however, the results of the Project would be more efficient if it had the continuity in the contact of the pupils with the computers.
