Desenvolvimento e implementação do sistema informatizado para a escala mensal do pessoal de enfermagem do Hospital de Clinicas de Porto Alegre

Abstract

OBJETIVO: Este artigo tem por objetivo descrever nossa experiência no desenvolvimento e implantação de um sistema informatizado para servir de instrumento de apoio à enfermeira na elaboração das escalas mensais de trabalho de seu pessoal. MATERIAIS E MÉTODOS: A implantação do sistema de apoio à escala de enfermagem foi dividida em três etapas. A primeira etapa iniciou-se em setembro de 1992, constituída basicamente pela definição do novo lay-out da planilha de escala que substituiu o formulário pré-impresso. Em dezembro de 1992 iniciou-se a segunda etapa, que objetivava a inclusão e alteração das folgas e plantões no sistema. A terceira etapa, ainda não iniciada, terá como objetivo colocar inteligência no sistema, que deverá então confeccionar toda a escala. RESULTADOS E CONCLUSÕES: No desenvolvimento e implantação do projeto confirmamos alguns aspectos de suma importância para melhorar o uso efetivo da informática, dentre os quais destacamos os critérios de seleção de projetos; qual será a utilidade de uma solução informatizada e a facilidade com que o usuário poderá fazer modificações locais necessárias; a manutenção do sistema e, fundamental, a participação do usuário durante todo o processo, propiciando um consenso sobre os critérios para seleção de soluções computacionais e desenvolvimento de um sistema básico que pode ser personalizado de acordo com as diferentes necessidades. A partir dos resultados positivos observados, é nossa intenção continuar desenvolvendo o sistema, aperfeiçoando este instrumento de apoio para tomada de decisão na tarefa complexa de distribuir os elementos da equipe de enfermagem.

OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this paper is to report our experience in the development and implementation of a support system for the assembly of the monthly schedule for the nursing staff. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The implementation of the nursing schedule support system was divided into three stages. The first stage began in September, 1992, and aimed at defining the lay-out of the timetable which replaced a pre-printed form. In December, 1992, the second stage began with the objective of enabling the inclusion and alteration of days off in the system. The third stage has not yet begun. Its objective will be to make the system intelligent, so that the entire schedule will be automatically assembled by the system. RESULTS AND CONCLUSIONS: In the development and implementation of the project we confirmed some aspects that are very important to improve the effective use of computers, such as establishing criteria for project selection; establishing the benefits of developing an automated solution and the degree of ease with which users will be able to customize the system; the importance of system maintenance and, most of all, of the involvement of users throughout the process, striving to reach a consensus concerning the criteria for selecting solutions and the development of one basic system that can be adapted to different needs. Encouraged by the positive results we have observed, it is our intention to continue developing the system, to improve this support instrument for making decisions in the complex task of allocating the members of the nursing staff.
