A arquitetura de Vilanova Artigas no Paraná : estudo de seis projetos entre 1945 e 1978

Abstract

O presente trabalho tem como objetivo complementar estudos a cerca da obra do arquiteto João Batista Vilanova Artigas. Busca preencher lacunas identificadas quanto ao estudo da trajetória do arquiteto no Paraná, e dos aspectos técnico-construtivos presentes em seus projetos. Inicia pelo estudo de pesquisas antecedentes sobre a obra de Artigas, a arquitetura no Paraná, em especial em Curitiba, e a arquitetura residencial, como apoio aos estudos de casos analisados na sequência. Foram selecionados como objetos de estudo seis projetos residenciais do arquiteto em Curitiba, elaborados entre os anos de 1945 e 1978. As análises dos casos seguem metodologias descritas no trabalho, baseadas em pesquisas anteriores consultadas. Foram utilizados processos híbridos de conhecimento, incluindo redesenho a partir dos desenhos originais; com produção de modelos tridimensionais digitais, além de desenhos bidimensionais, diagramas; simulações seriais de percursos virtuais e modelos físicos elaborados com. o auxílio de cortadora a laser. Os estudos visam à análise pormenorizada dos projetos, a fim de compreender aspectos formais, funcionais, espaciais e construtivos presentes nas propostas. Por fim, os projetos analisados foram comparados entre si, na busca de estabelecer relações entre os casos estudados. Com o objetivo de inserir as residências no restante da trajetória de Artigas, são estabelecidas ainda comparações dos casos com outros projetos do arquiteto. A pesquisa desenvolvida permitiu identificar diversas estratégias ao longo da trajetória de Artígas, com semelhanças eml projetos para programas e locais distintos. Ainda, o trabalho evidencia a relevância dos aspectos técnico-construtivos, e sua importância para o conhecimento da arquitetura proposta por Artigas. Por fim, a análise com o auxílio da informática possibilitou a utilização de diversos instrumentos no reconhecimento dos projetos, incluindo desenhos bidimensionais, modelos tridimensionais virtuais, modelos físicos e imagens diversas geradas a partir destes.

The present work has as objective to complement studies about the work of the architect João Batista Vilanova Artigas. lt tries to fill identified lacks about the study of the trajectory of the architect in Paraná, and the technical-constructive aspects present in his projects. lt begins by the study of previous researches about Artigas's work, the architecture in Paraná, specially in Curitiba, and the residential architecture, as support the study of cases analyzed in the sequence. It was selected as objects pf study six residential projects of the architect in Curitiba, elaborated between the years of 1945 and 1978. The analyses of the cases follow methodologies described in the work, based in researches previously consulted. lt was used hybrid of knowledge, including redesign from the original drawings, with production of digital three-dimensional models, besides the two-dimensional drawings, diagrams, serial simulations of virtu.al routes and physical models elaborated with the help of a cutter by laser. The studies aim the detailed analysis of the projects, in order to understand formal, functional, space, and constructive aspects present in the proposals. Finally, the analyzed projects were compared among them, in search of establishing relations .among the cases studied. With the objective of inserting the residences in the rest of the Artigas's trajectory, it is also established comparisons of the cases with other projects of the architect. The developed research allowed to identify several strategies along the Artigas's trajectory, with similarities in projects for distinguished programs and places. Still, the work evidences the relevance of the technical-constructive aspects, and their importance for the knowledge of the architecture proposed by Artigas. Eventually, the analysis with the help of the informatics enabled the use of many. tools in the recognition of the projects, including two-dimensional drawings, three-dimensional virtual models, physical models and several images generated from these ones.
