Desenvolvimento de habilidades à luz da International Education Standard 3 : análise da percepção dos formandos de Ciências Contábeis da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul

Abstract

Em virtude de inovações tecnológicas e necessidades de mercado, novas demandas estão sendo necessitadas aos profissionais contábeis. Para acompanhar essas demandas, novos perfis e habilidades estão sendo requisitados aos profissionais dessa área. A International Education Standard (IES 3) cita cinco grupos de habilidades que devem ser desenvolvidas pelo contador. Assim, o objetivo desse estudo é identificar a percepção dos formandos de Ciências Contábeis da UFRGS quanto ao desenvolvimento dessas habilidades a luz da IES 3. Para isto, foi realizada uma pesquisa quantitativa, descritiva, sob a forma de levantamento, por meio da aplicação de um questionário aos formandos, que totalizou 50 respostas. Como resultados obtidos na análise foi evidenciado que a habilidade organizacional e de gerenciamento de negócio obteve o maior grau e a maior média de satisfação ao passo que as habilidades interpessoais e de comunicação obteve o menor grau e a menor média de satisfação. 76% dos formandos responderam que se sentiram contemplados pelas habilidades a luz da IES 3 ao longo do curso e 38% dos alunos responderam que as habilidades interpessoais e de comunicação foram as habilidades menos desenvolvidas de acordo com a IES 3 ao longo do curso. Espera-se, portanto, que esse tema gere reflexão dentro da academia e contribua para que os docentes e discentes discutam sobre as novas demandas do profissional contábil.

Due to technological innovations and market needs, new demands are being required of accounting professionals. To accompany these demands, new profiles and skills are being requested from professionals in this area. The International Education Standard (IES 3) lists five skill sets that must be developed by the accountant. Thus, the objective of this study is to identify the perception of graduates of Accounting Sciences of UFRGS regarding the development of these skills in the light of IES 3. For this, a quantitative, descriptive research was conducted in the form of a survey, through the application of A questionnaire to the trainees, which totaled 50 responses. As results obtained in the analysis showed that the organizational ability and business management obtained the highest degree and the highest average satisfaction while the interpersonal and communication skills obtained the lowest degree and the lowest average satisfaction. 76% of the trainees responded that they felt they were covered by the IES 3 light abilities throughout the course and 38% of the students answered that the interpersonal and communication skills were the least developed skills according to IES 3 throughout the course. It is hoped, therefore, that this theme will generate reflection within the academy and will help teachers and students discuss the new demands of the accounting professional.
