A literatura alemã e a encenação autoral

Abstract

O presente artigo analisa a literatura alemã sob a perspectiva da encenação autoral. Argumenta contra a tese de Jürgensen e Kaiser (2011) em que os autores concebem as práticas encenatórias autorais como processo de desilusão, que resultaria da perda em importância do escritor, a partir do século XVIII, como representante ou porta-voz da humanidade, de uma cultura nacional ou seu papel como ator influente na esfera social em geral. O artigo mostra ainda que a encenação autoral sempre foi um elemento inerente ao campo artístico e apenas se reconfigurou conforme as mudanças sociais e mediais e analisa tal prática em três fases históricas distintas: na pré-modernidade, na fase da diferenciação social por volta de 1800 e na contemporaneidade.

This article analyzes the German literature from the perspective of authorial staging. It argues against Jürgensen and Kaiser (2011) who define authorial staging practices as a disillusionment process, which would result from the loss in importance of the writer in the eighteenth century as a representative or spokesman of humanity, of a national culture or its role as influential actor in the social sphere in general. The article also shows that authorial staging has always been an inherent element of the artistic field and just suffered reconfigurations according to social and medial changes and analyzes this practice in three distinct historical phases: pre-modernity, social differentiation around 1800 and contemporaneity.
