Geografia e educação ambiental na construção do híbrido metodológico

Abstract

A questão ambiental é complexa e diz respeito a todos nós - aos humanos e não-humanos. Perpassa por todas as áreas do conhecimento, por diferentes classes sociais, nações, crenças, etnias, sexo e idade. Sabendo-se que o desafio fundamental para a superação dos problemas ambientais é a Educação Ambiental (EA), percebe-se, no entanto, que as propostas apresentadas e praticadas são, muitas vezes, homogêneas, reducionistas e superficiais, acabando por distanciar-se dos objetivos. É nesse sentido que esta tese investigará os motivos pelos quais a EA está se mostrando ineficaz e por que flutua na esfera do não-lugar. Pretendese demonstrar a necessidade de se contemplar uma combinação metodológica em busca da adoção da "hibridização metodológica". Portanto, a presente tese objetiva a construção do híbrido metodológico no processo de Geografia e Educação Ambiental (GEA), através da combinação das abordagens metodológicas positivista-neopositivista, pesquisa-ação, fenomenologia hermenêutica e do diálogo prático da Geografia com a Educação Ambiental. Busca-se refletir em torno das heranças da modernidade, que separou os humanos dos nãohumanos, adotando metodologias purificadoras que estabelecem essa separação e que fundamentam as propostas de EA, a fim de superar essa contradição. Defende-se a EA comunitária como um possível caminho para o híbrido metodológico na busca da complexidade. Também, defende-se que, para chegar ao híbrido metodológico no processo de EA, cada área do conhecimento deve dialogar com a EA. Só assim o conjunto de saberes conseguirá construir uma nova constituição política que coligue as associações de humanos e não-humanos. Caso contrário, as propostas de EA nunca atingirão seus objetivos, pois não encontrarão um lugar - estarão vagando pelos não-lugares.

The environmental issue is complex and concerns all of us - to human and non-human. It passes through all fields of knowledge, through different social classes, nations, beliefs, ethnicity, sex and age. We may perceive, by knowing that the fundamental challenge for overcoming environmental issues is the Environmental Education (EE), however, that presented and practiced proposes are, many times, homogeneous, reductional and superficial, consummating in getting distant from the objectives. In this sense that this thesis will investigate the reasons by which the EE has been showing ineffective and why they have been fluctuating in the non-place sphere. We intend to demonstrate the necessity of contemplating a methodological combination in searching for the adoption of a "methodological hybridization". Therefore, the present thesis has aimed the construction of methodological hybrid in the process of Geography and Environmental Education (GEE), through the combination of positivist-neo-positivist, research-action, and hermeneutic phenomenology methodological approaches and through a practical dialogue of Geography with the Environmental Education. We have searched for reflecting on the legacy of modernity, which separated human from non-human, adopting purifying methodologies that have established this separation and that have based the proposes of EE, in order to overcome this contradiction. We have advocated the communitarian EE as a possible path for the methodological hybrid in searching for complexity. In addition, we have advocated that, in order to get to the methodological hybrid in the process of EE, each field of knowledge must dialogue with EE. Only this way, a set of knowledge will be able to reach a new political constitution that colligates associations of human and non-human. Otherwise, proposes of EE will never accomplish their objectives, once they will not find a place - and will be wandering for non-places.
