Análise dos estereótipos de personagens LGBTQ a partir da literatura infantil

Abstract

Apresenta discussão sobre a representação dos estereótipos de sujeitos LGBTQ na literatura infantil. Este trabalho concentra-se em compreender como são construídos os estereótipos da comunidade LGBTQ, a partir dos livros infantis. Os objetivos específicos buscam: contextualizar a produção de livros infantis com essa temática; identificar as características desses personagens; analisar as particularidades destes personagens. Utiliza-se de métodos qualitativos e para análise dos dados pesquisa documental, buscando responder como são categorizados os personagens com identidade sexual diferente da heteronormatividade na literatura infantil. Foram selecionadas dez obras infantis que discutiam gênero, identidade de gênero, identidade sexual e diversidade sexual. Abarca por meio do embasamento teórico autores relevantes da área. Percebe-se no material analisado a pretensão de refutar estereótipos de gênero, mas o reforçamento de algumas trivialidades envolvendo identidade sexual. Nota-se a importância dessas obras para uma discussão sobre diversidade e identidade com as crianças.

Presents a discussion about the representation of stereotypes of LGBTQ subjects in children's literature. This work focuses on understanding how the stereotypes of the LGBTQ community are constructed from children's books. The specific objectives are: to contextualize the production of children's books with this theme; identify the characteristics of these characters; analyze the particularities of these characters. It uses qualitative methods and data analysis documentary research, seeking to answer how are categorized the characters with sexual identity different from heteronormativity in children's literature. Ten children's works were selected that discussed gender, gender identity, sexual identity and sexual diversity. It covers by theoretical basis relevant authors of the area. In the material analyzed, the pretense of refuting gender stereotypes, but the reinforcement of some stereotypes involving sexual identity, is perceived. One understands the importance of these works for a discussion about diversity and identity with children.
