Abstract

Granulados podem representar um produto intermediário decisivo na elaboração de formas farmacêuticas sólidas. O conhecimento das características ligadas às diversas metodologias de produção constitui, portanto, fator necessário no momento de escolha da técnica a ser empregada. Este artigo descreve os principais métodos de granulação, abordando também os princípios de formação e as propriedades dos produtos formados.

Granules represent a decisive intermediary product in the manufacture of solid dosage forms. The knowledge of the methodological characteristics involved with any granulation technique constitutes therefore an important factor in the management and as the element of choice for the most appropriated method. This paper describes the main granulation technologies, reviewing also the granule formation principles and describing the properties of the formed products.
