A influência dos pais no desenvolvimento de praticantes da patinação artística na modalidade livre individual

Abstract

Atualmente, a Patinação Artística é dividida em diversas modalidades, entre elas, a mais popular denomina-se livre individual. Dentre as diversas variáveis que influenciam o processo de desenvolvimento do patinador, as interferências advindas das inter-relações familiares são fundamentais para o processo de formação do esportista. Considerando que a Patinação Artística é um esporte individual, onde é de vital importância o equilíbrio emocional do atleta, o presente estudo procura saber qual a influência dos pais no desenvolvimento de atletas da Patinação Artística na modalidade Livre Individual. A pesquisa tem como objetivo identificar a influência dos pais no desenvolvimento de atletas da Patinação Artística na modalidade Livre Individual. O trabalho apresenta características de um estudo transversal, pois não houve o acompanhamento em longo prazo dos colaboradores, e a abordagem será qualitativa, com pesquisa descritiva. Como critérios de inclusão dos sujeitos participantes se optou pela definição de forma intencional, onde foram selecionados aqueles pais que possuíam tempo mínimo de três anos como membros da escola de patinação e que demonstravam maior engajamento. Foi aplicada uma entrevista semi-estruturada de maneira individual com todos os colaboradores escolhidos previamente, em horário combinado pelos mesmos. Após a aplicação das entrevistas, as mesmas foram transcritas e devolvidas aos pais, para que os mesmos as validassem e, logo após, as devolvessem para dar continuidade à investigação. As categorias de análise utilizadas foram: processo de iniciação dos filhos na Patinação Artística; a importância da Patinação Artística para os filhos; a contribuição dos pais na vida esportiva dos filhos; a expectativa dos pais em relação à pratica dos filhos na Patinação Artística; c29omo os pais lidam com os filhos em dias de competições; e, classificação de características de tipos de pais no esporte. Conclui-se que a motivação pode ocorrer extrinsecamente (incentivo de pais, amigos), por ser uma atividade oferecida na escola, ou por motivação intrínseca (desejos pessoais, gostos, anseios, competitividade). Quanto aos dias de competição, fica claro que o comportamento dos pais pode influenciar diretamente o dos filhos. Conclui-se que o psicológico das atletas deve ser trabalhado, juntamente ao da família, para que sempre permaneçam em níveis saudáveis as expectativa da atleta e dos pais. Conclui-se, também, que a capacidade dos pais de estabelecerem um ambiente emocional propício à participação dos filhos no esporte que escolheram é de suma importância.

Currently, the figure skating is divided into several modalities, among them, the most popular is called individual free. Among the several variables that influence the development process of the skater, the interferences arising from the family relationships are fundamental for the training process of the sportsman. Considering that the Artistic Skating is an individual sport, where the athlete's emotional balance is of vital importance, the present study seeks to know the influence of the parents in the development of Artistic Skating athletes in the Individual Free mode. The research aims to identify the influence of parents in the development of skating athletes in the Individual Free mode. The study presents characteristics of a cross-sectional study, since there was no long-term follow-up of the collaborators, and the approach will be qualitative, with descriptive research. As criteria for inclusion of the participants, we chose to define intentionally, where parents who had a minimum of three years' time as members of the skating school and who showed greater engagement were selected. A semi-structured interview was applied in an individual way with all previously chosen employees, at a time agreed by them. After the interviews were applied, they were transcribed and returned to the parents, so that they validated them and, afterwards, returned them to continue the investigation. The categories of analysis used were: process of initiation of the children in the Artistic Skating; the importance of the Artistic Skating for the children; the contribution of parents in the sports life of their children; the expectation of the parents regarding the practice of the children in the Artistic Skating; how parents deal with their children on competition days; and, classification of characteristics of types of parents in the sport. It is concluded that motivation can occur extrinsically (encouragement from parents, friends), because it is an activity offered at school, or by intrinsic motivation (personal desires, likes, desires, competitiveness). As for the days of competition, it is clear that the behavior of parents can directly influence that of their children. It is concluded that the psychological of athletes must be worked, along with that of the family, so that the athlete and the parents' expectations always remain at healthy levels. It is also concluded that parents' ability to establish an emotional environment conducive to the participation of their children in the sport of their choice is of paramount importance.
