Representatividade da mulher negra na revista Donna

Abstract

O presente trabalho tem por objetivo analisar de que forma as mulheres negras estão sendo representadas na Revista Donna. A pesquisa parte de uma análise histórica, para mostrar como o período escravocrata afetou socialmente as pessoas negras, e como isso se reflete até os dias atuais; além disso, foi dedicado um capítulo para abordar as mulheres negras na mídia. Se fez necessário falar do objeto (Revista Donna) e do jornal ao qual pertence esse suplemento criado em 1993. Busca-se entender qual o olhar de Donna para a mulher negra, identificando as marcas estabelecidas para a análise. Consequentemente, fez parte dessa monografia a identificação do racismo que marca a vida das pessoas negras, bem como mostrar que essas mulheres são as mais afetadas com as desigualdades em nossa sociedade. Para isso foi utilizado o método da análise de conteúdo de Bardin (2011), foi trazido também os pensamentos de Hooks (2019) que contribuíram para entender como o racismo e os pensamentos supremacistas brancos afetam negativamente a vida dos negros. Assim chegou-se a conclusão que, mesmo que a revista aborde a mulher negra, ainda é pouco, no entanto é um passo importante. Além disso, foi identificado que as questões de raça trazidas nas matérias, parte em sua maioria das fontes.

The present work aims to analyze how black women are being represented in the Donna Magazine. The research begins with a historical analysis to highlight how the period of slavery socially affected black people and how that is still current. A chapter of this paper has been devoted to address black women in the media. It was necessary to talk about the research subject (Revista Donna) and the newspaper which created this magazine in 1993. The main goal is to understand what is Donna's perspective towards black women, identifying the marks established for the analysis. Consequently, it was part of this discussion to identify the racism that marks the lives of black people, furthermore showing that these women are the most affected with inequalities in our society. For this we used the method of content analysis of Bardin (2011), also brought the thoughts of Hooks (2019) that contributed to understand how racism and white supremacist thoughts negatively affect the lives of blacks. Thus it came to the conclusion that even if the magazine addresses black women, it is still small, but it is an important step. In addition, it was identified that the issues of race brought in the materials, mostly part of the sources.
