The soccer is an sport played all over the world. At it’s professional and amateur practice, this sport is associated to a large number of lesions that assail the muscle skeletal system prevalentment. Many of these lesions are associated with neuromuscular fatigue and to the explosive movements made on the third final of each half time of the game. The fatigue injure the muscular performance of the players during the exercise. There is a fail to maintain a wanted level of output during the activity, whether it is repetitive or sustained. The mechanisms that determine the neuromuscular fatigue still not being well known. It is known that this process can be influenced by a series of factors, like: motivation, activation of central command, intensity and duration of activity, speed of contraction, and the type of contraction (concentric, isometric, eccentric). The electromyography through the analysis of MDF and the RMS signal together with the torque, are index that have been used like instrument to try to explain the effects of the neuromuscular fatigue. Because of that, this study had as objective, to compare the neural and peripheric components of fatigue (through the evaluation of the index of torque, root mean of square(RMS) and median frequency (MDF) of extensor musculature (EXT) and flexor (FLX) of the knee between a group of soccers players that accomplish a protocol of concentric isocinetic fatigue (CON) (N=10) and an other group of players that accomplish an protocol of eccentric isocinet fatigue (EXC) (N=11). The peak of torque of the extensor and flexor muscles was evaluated during a protocol of eccentric and concentric fatigue, formed by 10 series of 10 maximal repetitions at the velocity of 90°/s. At the same velocity it was evaluated the electric activation of the muscles VL, VM, RF and BF, through the electromyography of surface. The relative difference between the electromyography and the torque was calculated through the value of the first series subtracted of the final series and divided by the value of the first series of the protocol. The reasons of the muscular efficiency were calculated for the final and initial moments of the protocol through the media of the extensor musculature divided by the peak value of the torque. The values of torque, MDF, RMS, muscular efficiency were compared between the groups. The group CON presented reduction of the MDF at the muscles RF (p= 0,005) e VL (p= 0,006). At the group EXC there was no difference between the moments (initial and final of he protocol of fatigue) (p> 0,05). The values of the MDF of the difference between the initial and the final protocols of the fatigue, present a significant reduction of the muscles VL (0,039) and VM (0,003) at the protocol CON .The values of CON showed no difference between the groups (p> 0,005). The torque of the EXC was superior to the CON’s torque at the first (CON: EXT, p= 0,001/ FLX, p= 0,001) (EXC: EXT, p= 0,004/ FLX, p= 0,004) and at the last CON: EXT, p= 0,001/ FLX, p= 0,001) (EXC: EXT, p= 0,004/ FLX, p= 0,004) series for both muscular groups. At the relative analysis of the torque it was found a major reduction of the CON group only for the EXT (p=0,003) muscular group. The neuromuscular efficiency (ENM) was major at the EXC protocol compared to the protocol CON’ s initial(p< 0,001) and final moments (p< 0,001). There was a decrease of the comparison of the ENM of the moments for the group CON( p=0,002) There were no difference at the moments of the EXC group. Theses results show that the protocols of fatigue EXC and the muscles EXTs of the knees show less reduction at the strength production capacity. Less reduction at the MDF and major ENM compared to CON protocols of fatigue.en
