Análise do perfil socioeconômico do município de Canoas-RS

Abstract

Este trabalho analisa o processo de formação e desenvolvimento do município de Canoas, procurando apresentar fatos e dados que contribuam para o melhor entendimento do atual panorama geoeconômico da cidade. Para isso, foram utilizadas fontes históricas e oficiais, tabelas e gráficos para apresentar o perfil socioeconômico do município. Com uma breve retrospectiva dos principais fatos ocorridos na história de Canoas desde a sua colonização, loteamento, emancipação e industrialização, e por meio da análise do comportamento de indicadores socioeconômicos, buscou-se discorrer sobre a dimensão econômica e social do município. Por último, a identificação de pontos fortes e fracos, além do destaque dado a alguns aspectos que podem refletir no futuro de Canoas, como oportunidades e fatores de risco, também foram observados.

This work analyzes the foundation and development process of Canoas city, introducing the facts and data which contribute to a better comprehension of the current geo-economics’ city perspective. Thereunto, were used historical and official files, templates and graphs to present the city’s socioeconomic profile. With a brief retrospect of the main facts that happened in the Canoas’ history as well as the colonization, subdivision land, emancipation and industrialization, to collect through the behavioral analysis of the socioeconomics’ indicator, broach the social and economic dimension of the city. Finally, the acknowledgement of the strength and weakness, beyond the prominence given to some aspects that can reflect in the future of Canoas, as well as opportunities and risk factors, had also been observed.
