O discurso do jornal O Joio e o Trigo sobre fome e insegurança alimentar

Abstract

Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo geral analisar o discurso do jornal nativo-digital independente O Joio e O Trigo sobre a fome e a insegurança alimentar no Brasil. Os objetivos específicos são identificar os sentidos construídos pelo veículo sobre as causas da fome e as soluções para enfrentá-la e o espaço dado às experiências cotidianas dos sujeitos afetados pela fome no discurso jornalístico, buscando compreender as suas perspectivas. Para realizar esses objetivos, como metodologia de pesquisa usamos a Análise do Discurso (AD) para pensar acerca da linguagem e dos sentidos produzidos pelo jornalismo no contexto sócio-histórico do aumento da fome no Brasil. O corpus desta pesquisa é formado por 21 textos publicados entre 7 de fevereiro e 17 de novembro de 2022. Duas formações discursivas norteiam a análise como os principais sentidos identificados nos textos: "A fome como um problema político" e "A fome como experiência cotidiana".

This research primarily aims to analyze the independent and digital-native newspaper O Joio e O Trigo’s speech about hunger and food insecurity in Brazil. The specific goals are to identify the meanings constructed by it about the causes of hunger and the solutions to face it and also to analyze the space given to the daily experiences lived by the people who are affected by hunger in the journalistic speech, aiming to understand their perspectives. In order to achieve these goals, we utilize the Speech Analysis research method as a way to think about the language and the meanings produced by the journalistic speech in the social-economic context of the hunger increase in Brazil. This research corpus is constituted by 21 articles published between february 7 and november 17 of 2022. Three discursive formations guide the analysis as the key meanings identified: "Hunger causes", "Hunger solutions" and "Perspective of the ones affected by hunger".
