A motivação na aprendizagem de língua adicional

Abstract

O presente trabalho tem por objetivo analisar a questão da motivação na aprendizagem de língua adicional na educação básica pública. Para tanto, será feita uma explanação a respeito de algumas definições sobre motivação, a fim de que se possam estabelecer as razões que levam alguém a se motivar e iniciar determinada atividade. Para relacionar a motivação com a aprendizagem da língua adicional, será visto o contexto em que o ensino da língua adicional ocorre, a fim de se verificar a influência do ambiente e da sociedade sobre a motivação do estudante em aprender uma língua adicional, bem como os pontos neste contexto que podem contribuir para a desmotivação do estudante. Também será exposto o papel do professor no desencadear da motivação dos estudantes durante as aulas. Além do professor, será visto como a dinâmica da aula e o ambiente em que a aula ocorre colaboram para a atitude do estudante em relação à língua adicional. Ainda serão feitas sugestões de atividades que contribuam para o desenvolvimento da motivação do estudante.

This study aims to examine the question of motivation in learning an additional language in the basic public education. For this, an explanation will be presented about some definitions of motivation, can provide the reasons for someone to motivate him or herself and initiate some activity. For relating motivation with learning the additional language it will be seen the context in which language teaching occurs in order to verify the influence of the environment and the society on the student's motivation to learn an additional language, as well as some points in this context that may contribute to the motivation of the student. The role of the teacher in triggering the motivation of students during the lessons will also be discussed. Besides the teacher, how the dynamics of the class and the environment in which the class occurs collaborate for the student's attitude regarding the additional language will be presented. Some suggestions of activities that contribute to the development of student’s motivation will be presented.
