The preferential achievement, or exclusive, of some enantiomers (asymmetric synthesis) has great interest mainly in the pharmaceutical and agrochemical fields, this is because different enantiomers have differences in their toxicity and biological activity. Nowadays, a great number of research groups around the world have focused their efforts in the field of organocatalysis, and as consequence, an exponential growth has been observed in the number of publications in this area. In this work, we started our convergent synthetic route from different natural aminoacids, (L-phenylalanine, L-cysteine and L-valine), a chiral pool easy to obtain, with low cost and large synthetic versatility. With this strategy, we have reached four new organocatalysts thiazolidine-carboxamide that was screened in the asymmetric direct aldol reaction between acetone and benzaldehyde. The additions product were obtained in good to excellent yields (95%) and with excellent enantiomeric excess (99%).en
