Redescrevendo o pensamento de Hegel com Richard Rorty

Abstract

A tentativa de Hegel é unir a substância de Espinosa – a necessidade - com o eu livre de Kant – a contingência. Como sabemos, este projeto é inacabado, e um operador modal, um “dever-ser” cósmico mais fraco que o “dever-ser” kantiano, perpassando todo o sistema hegeliano, não resolve o problema da contingência e da liberdade no sistema de Hegel. Refletir sobre esta problemática conduz-nos à compreensão do conceito de contingência por Richard Rorty como uma possível saída na reconstrução ou redescrição do sistema hegeliano, levando a discussão na direção de uma estrutura ética solidária. Deve-se, portanto, postular a questão ab initio para justificar o caminho da presente argumentação. Em Rorty existe um convite para um reconhecimento do que está em jogo: a solidariedade.

Hegel's attempt is to unite the substance of Spinoza – the need - with the free I of Kant – the contingency. As we know, this project is unfinished, and a modal operator - a cosmic “must be” weaker than the kantian “must be” -, permeating the whole hegelian system, does not solve the problem of contingency and the liberty in the Hegel’s system. To reflect on this issue, leads us to understand the concept of contingency by Richard Rorty as a possible wayout to the reconstruction or description of hegelian system, leading the discussion toward an ethic of solidarity structure. One should, therefore, postulate the question ab initio to justify the path of this argumentation. In Rorty there is an invitation to recognition of what is at stake: solidarity.
