If we look at our current education, we note that it has current standards by a market need, increasingly intended for purposes other than the original, for a complete training and harmonious, as the competitive labor market points to the specific needs of a more functional training, often not making any sense to search for values. To stick to the Physical Education, faced with the major axis of Sport as a knowledge focused on training, not only physically and mentally. Idealizing a physical education based on the values of the aretê (excellence), we refer to the classical period of Greek society, linking us directly to the cradle of our civilization, Greece, with the model of education, training of the Greek heroes, especially Aquiles and Ulisses, by his master: Quíron. This work will aim, through a philosophical look, check Paideia Classical features of the discourses of the interviewees, acknowledging the values taken by physical education students of UFRGS, focusing on the value of the one presented by teachers. They used a brief literature review with reference to the educational importance and axiological expressed in the role of teacher Quíron, the main responsible for the formation of Aquiles and Ulisses (Heroes of the Iliad and Odyssey), and then conduct interviews with students of Physical Education of UFRGS, trying to compare the two realities, the literary and the literal with the assumption of the practice of educational values among its students.en
