Literatura e cinema : nas tramas das grandes artes

Abstract

Este trabalho analisa as estruturas narrativas presentes no livro A grande arte, do escritor Rubem Fonseca, e no filme Exposure, do diretor Walter Salles Jr. O objetivo principal é comparar a realização do gênero policial nos dois sistemas semiológicos. Foi desenvolvido através dos estudos comparatistas desenvolvidos a partir da chamada Escola Norte-Americana, que tornou possível a comparação entre a literatura e sistemas semiológicos diversos como o cinema. Concluiu que o livro A grande arte transgride as regras do gênero policial, tornando-se uma obra marcada por uma estética ambígua e que o filme recupera a estrutura do gênero policial, porém perde a dimensão ambígua existente no livro entre esse gênero e a reflexão que o enredo provoca no leitor.

This study analyzes the narrative structures in the book Great art, written by Rubem Fonseca, and in the film Exposure, directed by Walter Salles Jr. The main objective is to analyze comparatively the characteristics of the crime genre in the two semiological systems. It is based on comparative studies developed from North American School, which made the comparison between literature and cinema possible. This study implies that the book "Great art" transgresses the rules of the crime genre and become a work marked by an ambiguous aesthetic and that the film recovers the structure of the crime genre, but loses in the narrative structure the ambiguities that there are in the book. The text makes the reader have some thoughts, which are developed in other parts of the film materiality, by exploring the noir aesthetic.
