A interioridade da arquitetura

Abstract

O ensaio investiga alguns âmbitos do conceito de interioridade da arquitetura. Inicialmente, escavando o sentido de uma existência de um interior, de um interior como o lugar portador do sentido, analisando a desconstrução geométrica espacial do dentro e fora, centro e periferia. Na seqüência, apresenta-se o tema da hospitalidade como o lugar outro da interioridade da arquitetura, o lugar que dá lugar as relações humanas e fundante das cidades. O tema da hospitalidade é proposto a partir das idéias de Jacques Derrida e Levinas, onde a lógica do outro abre a perspectiva de um novo olhar sobre a questão, do espaço, da cidade e da arquitetura. Investiga ainda, a etimologia do lar, lares a partir de Fustel de Coulanges, relacionando a religião, a propriedade privada e a família. A guisa de ilustração apresenta, o desaparecimento do humano na teoria da interioridade da arquitetura de Peter Eisenmann.

The paper explores some areas of the concept of “interiority” in architecture. It begins with a search for a sense of the existence of an “interior” - being this interior the place that bears the meaning – and conducts an analysis of the geometric and spatial “deconstruction” of inside and outside, center and periphery. Further on, the theme hospitality is presented as the place called “other” of architecture; the place that allows for human relations to manifest; hospitality is the “founder” or “establisher” of cities. This theme is introduced after Jacques Derrida and Levinas’ ideas, in which the logic of the “other” indicates the prospect of a new look over the question of space, city and architecture. It also studies the etymology of home, lares - having Foustel de Coulanges as a source - and shows relationships among religion, private property and family. By way of illustration, it shows the disappearance of the human in the theory of interiority in Peter Eisenman’s architecture.
