Referências e realidades : conforto térmico em edifícios residenciais localizados em áreas densamente ocupadas de Curitiba

Abstract

Partindo de uma revisão histórica sobre a evolução do tratamento das superfícies externas das edificações e sua conceituação térmica, este estudo aborda reflexões sobre a proposta do edifício residencial em altura, destacando suas origens e enfoques ambientais, no contexto internacional e nacional. No caso de Curitiba, uma breve revisão da evolução do traçado urbano foi realizada, destacando os aspectos referenciais associados ao conforto térmico. O objetivo desta etapa foi compreender a contribuição direta e/ou indireta dos fatores de herança cultural ou implementados por sucessivos zoneamentos, responsáveis pela inserção desta tipologia residencial na cidade. Verifica a adequação térmica destas torres na paisagem urbana, consolidada na forma de alta densidade construtiva, com uma análise termo-ambiental de dois objetos arquitetônicos, construídos em momentos históricos diferentes, mas em décadas recentes. A metodologia de trabalho inclui a implantação dos edifícios, a disposição das edificações e a insolação das fachadas e ventilação natural, dentro do contexto do entorno. Associado a isto, pesquisas bibliográficas, simulações matemáticas e medições do comportamento térmico executados “in situ”, permitiram a avaliação da eficiência e adequação das propostas. Constatou-se que os edifícios têm desempenhos distintos quanto a questão de habitabilidade, em função das características de projeto e de implantação urbana. A pesquisa não buscou dar solução à questão do conforto térmico nesta complexa realidade, mas, ampliar as reflexões termo - energéticas com dados convincentes, de modo a aprofundar a articulação do envelope térmico dos edifícios residenciais com a morfologia urbana, hoje restrita a discursos teóricos, legislações e práticas limitadas e ineficientes.

This work presents a historical review about the evolution of the thermal concept in exterior walls. It also develops the typology of the residential sky-scraper, their origins, thermal performance and their connections to the morphology of the urban design, in international e national contexts. A short revision concerning at historical evolution of the urban design was made for the city of Curitiba, with emphasis in the thermal comfort aspects. The main objective is understand the real influence, direct or indirect, of the cultural legacy or established for successive building codes which introducing this residential typology. It analyses two buildings for to verity the adjust thermodynamic of these towers in the urban landscape with high density constructive, both of them were built in different historical periods, but in recent decades. The methodology is based on the study of the site; the influence of spaces between buildings and the solar orientation of the façades, and the natural aeration, concerning the urban context. Besides, a bibliographic research, mathematical simulation and some thermal measurements were realized “in situ”, for to evaluate the efficiency of these projects. The results appoint for distinct environmental performances, consequence from different project’s attributes and urban circumstances. This study doesn’t search solutions for the thermal quality in this complex reality, but, to enlarge the thermal comfort level and energetic efficiency with convincing data. Therefore, search an optimized relation between the thermal envelope of the residential sky-scraper and urban morphology, also, to make clear the limits of the legislation and theory in use.
