The paper intends to identify which are the ethical conditions of the concept of justice in the classical tradition, through a study divided in three parts: the first concerning the anthropological elements of such conditioning, the second concerning the relational conditions and the third based on the study of the patterns of recognition. The threefold division is justified in terms of method, considering that each of the three chapters has an author that is central to it. The first chapter is situated on the discussions of Robert Spaemann, the second on the ethical theory of friendship (philia) of Aristotle and the final chapter on the recent formulations of the recognition theory of Axel Honneth. In the chapter dedicated to Robert Spaemann, reflections concerning the special human condition, the personhood, are developed, from which are extracted the anthropological conditions of the just action. The study dedicated to friendship recognizes the distinctive characteristics of such in relation to justice, especially concerning the limitations that imposes on the subsequent relation. At last, the terms of the recognition theory are analyzed under the classical tradition of though, reconstructing the Hegelian model in such a way as to make it coherent to the personal anthropological model. The study ends with the indication of which are the ethical conditions identified.en
