Incentivo à leitura e a cidadania: um estudo sobre a Feira do Livro Leitura Para Todos do Programa Biblioteca da Família do Governo da Jordânia

Abstract

Esta pesquisa pretende verificar, através de um estudo de caso, como a Feira do Livro Leitura Para Todos do programa Biblioteca da Família do Governo da Jordânia incentiva à leitura e a cidadania das crianças que residem em Amã. Exibe um histórico do programa “Biblioteca da Família e da Feira do Livro Leitura Para Todos” ao longo dos anos com objetivos e ferramentas utilizadas para o fomento da leitura no ambiente familiar na Jordânia. Apresenta como referencial teórico os conceitos de cidadania, direitos humanos, incentivo à leitura e direito à informação. Traça um breve histórico com as principais características do Reino Hachemita da Jordânia e sua capital, Amã. Destaca a importância da leitura nos ambientes familiar, escolar e da biblioteca para a construção da cidadania infantil e a relevância do incentivo governamental para tal prática com a construção de espaços para leitura, incentivo a projetos já existentes e de pessoas qualificadas para trabalharem com leitura no âmbito educacional. Descreve a coleta dos dados com as dez entrevistas realizadas entre os sujeitos selecionados. Os dados coletados das entrevistas são apresentados através de um relatório descritivo vinculados ao referencial teórico. Analisa os dados coletados com as entrevistas e os resultados alcançados. Finaliza com as considerações finais sobre o estudo que responde ao problema inferido e os objetivo específico e objetivos gerais estabelecidos. Verifica a contribuição do Programa Biblioteca da Família para a influência no desenvolvimento da cidadania e da leitura infantil em Amã que incidem no estímulo e na valorização da leitura no meio familiar; na democratização do acesso aos livros por meio de materiais de qualidade e com baixos valores de venda; na variedade de gêneros e títulos de Literatura Infantil e na escolha de espaços estratégicos e de fácil acesso para a ocorrência das feiras. Aspectos que são fundamentais para o enriquecimento intelectual e cultural das crianças e, por conseguinte, ajudam a transformá-las em cidadãos ativos e presentes na sociedade jordaniana.

This study investigates, through a case study, such as the Reading For Everyone Festival of the Family Library program of the Government of Jordan encourages reading and citizenship of children living in Amman. Displays a history of the Family Library and Te Reading For Everyone Festival over the years with goals and tools used for the promotion of reading in the home environment in Jordan. It presented as theoretical concepts of citizenship, human rights, encouraging reading and the right to information. Traces a brief history with the main features of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and its capital, Amman. It highlights the importance of reading in the family, school environments and library for the construction of children's citizenship and the importance of government incentives for the practice with the construction of spaces for reading, encouraging existing projects and qualified persons to work with reading in educational level. Describes the data collection with the ten interviews conducted among selected subjects. The data collected from the interviews are presented through a specification linked to the theoretical framework. Analyzes the data collected through interviews and achievements. It ends with the concluding remarks of the study inferred that responds to the problem and the specific goal and set overall objectives. Check the contribution of the Family Library or influence on the development of citizenship and children's reading in Amman that focus on stimulating reading and the appreciation within the family; the democratization of access to books through quality materials and low sales figures; the variety of genres and titles of Children's Literature and the choice of strategic spaces and easy access to the occurrence of the fairs. Aspects that are fundamental to the intellectual and cultural enrichment of children and therefore help to turn them into active and present citizens in Jordanian society.
