A percepção moçambicana frente à atuação da Igreja Universal do Reino de Deus em seu país

Abstract

O presente trabalho analisa a percepção moçambicana frente à atuação da Igreja Universal do Reino de Deus em seu país. Para isso, foi apresentado desde a fundação da IURD até a sua internacionalização em Moçambique, bem como foi demonstrado que a “tese da secularização”, que durante anos fez a separação entre os fenômenos religiosos e a política internacional, não se justifica, visto a influência que a religião exerce na dinâmica das Relações Internacionais. Ao que tange Moçambique, foram expostos seus precedentes históricos e como a sociedade moçambicana sente até hoje as sequelas sociais, políticas, econômicas e culturais decorrentes de séculos de exploração colonialista/neocolonialista e de décadas de uma guerra civil, que ficou conhecida como uma das mais sangrentas do continente africano. Além de demonstrar a relação da IURD com a Frente de Libertação de Moçambique, presente na governança do país, desde sua independência. Finalizando, tem-se a análise dos jornais, tanto da própria igreja, quanto dos jornais locais moçambicanos e a comparação dos dois discursos presentes nesses jornais, sob as lentes do construtivismo.

The present work analyzes the Mozambican perception regarding the performance of the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God in your country. For that, it was presented from the foundation of the IURD until its internationalization in Mozambique, as well as it was demonstrated that the “secularization thesis”, which for years made the separation between religious phenomena and international politics, is not justified, given the influence that religion has on the dynamics of International Relations. As far as Mozambique is concerned, its historical precedents were exposed and how Mozambican society still experiences the social, political, economic and cultural consequences resulting from centuries of colonialist/neocolonialist exploitation and decades of civil war, which became known as one of the most bloody African continent. In addition to demonstrating the relationship between the IURD and the Mozambican Liberation Front, which has been present in the country's governance since its independence. Finally, there is the analysis of the newspapers, both of the church itself, and of the local Mozambican newspapers and the comparison of the two speeches present in these newspapers, under the lens of constructivism.
