Valoração de coleções como compromisso ético ao amplo acesso ao patrimônio cultural

Abstract

Este artigo parte de uma reflexão necessária sobre valoração de acervos museológicos e bibliográficos, de modo a pensar inclusão e direitos humanos no sentido lato. Discutimos as teorias sobre valoração de acervo bibliográfico, enquanto patrimônio histórico, cultural e científico de uma biblioteca em diálogo com as inquietações mais contemporâneas da Museologia e da Ciência do Patrimônio. Com as informações coletadas por meio da dissertação de Mestrado de uma das autoras, pode-se obter um panorama específico sobre atribuição de valor ao acervo de livros de bibliotecas, para verificar quais fatores podem ser levados em consideração no momento de analisar os itens que compõem a coleção, quais deles serão disponibilizados para todos, contemplando as noções de acessibilidade e inclusão. Essa análise deverá considerar a importância da coleção para o desenvolvimento da área do conhecimento a que pertence, bem como para compor, de forma fundamentada e justificada, o patrimônio geral da instituição. Tem por base a etapa da metodologia de gerenciamento de riscos em acervos, proposta pelo Internacional Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM).

This paper is based on a reflexive lack, in the scope of heritage and memory studies, on the valuation of collections. We have dated refe-rences on this topic and proposals for me-thodological instruments to identify values, however, we understand that this study needs to be anchored in social reality. With the in-formation collected through the Master's dis-sertation of one of the authors, it is possible to obtain a specific panorama on the attribu-tion of value to the library book collection, to verify which factors can be taken into account when analyzing the items that compose the collection, which ones will be made available to everyone, contemplating the notions of ac-cessibility and inclusion. This analysis should consider the importance of the collection for the development of the area of knowledge to which it belongs, as well as to compose, in a reasoned and justified way, the general patrimony of the institution. It is based on the stage of the collections risk management methodology, proposed by the International Center for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM).
