The basic objective of this research was to verify if there was any difference between the rate of the creative attitudes of curiosity and tolerance to ambiguity, when the teacher developed the strategy to get information and if these creative attitudes had any relation to the rate of creativity reached by the subjects. The total number of subjects was 225 attending 4th elementary grade and were divided in eight groups. Four groups formed the experimental group and the other four formed the control group, The study was done in a private school in 1975, The experiment lasted 8 weeks, consisting basically of: the application of the pre-test to the students; training and development of the strategy to get information in class by the teacher of the experimental group and the application of the post-test. Parametric statistic were used due the nature of the data, which were collected through four instruments. The results indicated that between the control and the experimental groups there wasn't any significant difference produced by the strategy to reach information. It was noted that the subjects with higher rate of creativity presented a higher rate of creative attitudes. Other variations, such as sex, age, socio-economic level and fina grade were analyzes. The results reached also allowed the validation of the creativity test elaborated by Ott (1975).en
