Os discursos imagéticos na fotoetonografia : reflexões metodológicas de uma pesquisa com caminhoneiras

Abstract

Chamamos ‘caminhoneiras’ as mulheres que, além de serem motoristas de caminhão, optam por trabalhar com rotas longas. A carona foi constituinte de uma pesquisa fotoetnográfica que teve a participação ativa da pesquisadora nas viagens, para compreender as caminhoneiras enquanto locutoras de uma realidade social a ser descortinada, através da observação participante. A fotografia teve papel central na produção das narrativas de mulheres que exercem uma profissão considerada masculina, no sentido de ser algo incomum às práticas laborais femininas. Com esta pesquisa pudemos repensar, através da análise imagética, os elementos teóricos que auxiliaram a compreender a vida itinerante das caminhoneiras. Abordamos alguns aspectos das identidades/performances de gênero no trabalho, bem comoos conceitos de lugares e não-lugares de Marc Augé.

The women who, in addition to driving a truck, choose to work with long routes are called truck drivers. The ride was part of a photo ethnographic research that had the active participation of the researcher in the trips, to understand the truck drivers asnarrators of a social reality to be unveiled, through participant observation. Photography played a central role in the production of narratives of women who exercise a profession considered male, in the sense of being something unusual for female labor practices. With this research, we were able to rethink, through image analysis, the theoretical elements that helped to understand the itinerant life of female truck drivers. We approach some aspects of gender identities/performances at work, as well as Marc Augé's concepts of places and non-places.
