Questões identitárias no perfil profissional dos bibliotecários brasileiros: uma análise teórica a partir do conceito de identidade de Stuart Hall

Abstract

A presente pesquisa aborda questões sobre o perfil profissional do bibliotecário no Brasil e busca identificar o conceito de identidade trabalhado pelo teórico cultural, sociólogo e filósofo, Stuart Hall. O problema de pesquisa que motivou o desenvolvimento deste estudo é responder se é possível estabelecer uma relação entre o conceito de identidade de Stuart Hall e a identidade do profissional bibliotecário. Para isso buscou caracterizar o processo de construção do perfil profissional do bibliotecário, descrever os conceitos de identidade de Stuart Hall, analisar a formação acadêmica do bibliotecário no Brasil a partir da literatura científica, identificar quais os elementos que marcam a identidade dos bibliotecários e discutir como a identidade dos Bibliotecário pode ser entendida a partir de Stuart Hall. A pesquisa possui um caráter teórico e bibliográfico com abordagem qualitativa e para seu desenvolvimento, realizaram-se buscas em bases de dados, tais como: BRAPCI, Scielo, Scopus, Web of Science, BTDT e Oaisbr, que a partir da busca, sucedeu a seleção, leitura e análise das publicações. A pesquisa evidenciou um consenso na literatura da Ciência da Informação a respeito do perfil e das competências desses profissionais, afinal, as principais fontes definiram a identidade do bibliotecário como adaptável e de certa forma inconstante, pois demonstra flexibilidades adaptativas que se assemelha fortemente ao entendimento de identidade como algo mutável, que é defendido por Stuart Hall.

The present research addresses questions about the professional profile of the librarian in Brazil and seeks to identify the concept of identity worked by cultural theorist, sociologist and philosopher, Stuart Hall. The research problem that motivated the development of this study is to answer whether it is possible to establish a relationship between Stuart Hall's concept of identity and the identity of the professional librarian. For this, it sought to characterize the process of building the professional profile of the librarian, describe Stuart Hall's concepts of identity, analyze the academic training of the librarian in Brazil from the scientific literature, identify which elements mark the identity of librarians and discuss how the identity of the Librarian can be understood from Stuart Hall. The research has a theoretical and bibliographic character with a qualitative approach and for its development, searches were carried out in the main databases of the area, such as: BRAPCI, Scielo, Scopus, Web of Science, BTDT and Oaisbr, which from the search, followed the selection, reading and analysis of publications. The research showed a consensus in the Information Science literature regarding the profile and skills of these professionals, after all, the main sources defined the librarian's identity as adaptable and in a certain way fickle, as it demonstrates adaptive flexibilities that strongly resemble the understanding of identity as something changeable, which is defended by Stuart Hall.
