O uso das teses e dissertações do PPGCOM/UFRGS disponíveis no Lume : uma análise de 2008 a 2017

Abstract

Tendo em vista que os repositórios institucionais auxiliam na pesquisa, compartilhamento de informações, descobertas, estudos e aceleram o desenvolvimento científico, o presente trabalho buscou pesquisar e analisar quais as características das teses e dissertações mais baixadas pertencentes ao Programa de Pós Graduação em Comunicação e Informação da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul no período de 2008 a 2017, com o objetivo de identificar quais as principais formas de acesso ao repositório, as instituições que mais baixaram teses e dissertações, quais foram as teses e dissertações mais baixadas e quais os seus assuntos, além de listar os orientadores com maior número de trabalhos baixados. Realiza-se então uma pesquisa quantitativa propondo uma análise descritiva e apresentando dados estatísticos através de quadros, tabelas e gráficos. Diante disso, foi possível atingir os objetivos propostos pela pesquisa, identificando a Universidade de São Paulo como a instituição com maior número de downloads de teses e dissertações, assuntos de áreas específicas e abrangentes, como “cientometria” e “co-authorship” respectivamente, listados nas teses e dissertações mais baixadas. Além de elencar os orientadores dos trabalhos mais baixados, analisando a relação das temáticas com os seus currículos e áreas de atuação.

Considering that institutional repositories assist in the research, sharing of information, discoveries, studies and accelerate the scientific development, the present work sought to investigate and analyze the characteristics of the theses and dissertations most downloaded belonging to the Graduate Program in Communication and Information of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul from 2008 to 2017, in order to identify the main forms of access to the repository, the institutions that most downloaded theses and dissertations, which were the theses and dissertations most downloaded and which subjects, in addition to listing the supervisors with the highest number of downloaded jobs. A quantitative research is then carried out proposing a descriptive analysis and presenting statistical data through cadre, tables and graphs. In view of this, it was possible to reach the objectives proposed by the research, identifying the University of São Paulo as the institution with the highest number of thesis and dissertation downloads, subjects of specific and comprehensive areas, such as "cienometrics" and "co-authorship" respectively, listed in the theses and dissertations most downloaded. In addition to listing the supervisors of the most downloaded jobs, analyzing the relationship of the themes with their curricula and areas of activity.
