Serviço de referência virtual : uma abordagem em relação ao uso de ferramentas de groupware

Abstract

Com o advento das novas tecnologias pode-se observar uma alteração na execução de diversas tarefas cotidianas realizadas pelas bibliotecas e centros de informação. Este trabalho de conclusão de curso trata de uma destas atividades, o Serviço de Referência. Com o auxilio das tecnologias da informação, muitas bibliotecas passaram a realizar o Serviço de Referência de forma diferente. O chamado Serviço de Referência Virtual traz para web o cotidiano do Serviço de Referência, na medida em que se utiliza desta como meio. O Serviço de Referência Virtual já vem sendo realizado por diversas bibliotecas de forma bem estruturada e com a utilização de técnicas de trabalho cooperativo e ferramentas de groupware. No Brasil ainda existem poucos centros que realizam este tipo de serviço desta forma. Também muito pouco foi escrito sobre este assunto por autores brasileiros. O trabalho traça algumas características do Serviço de Referência Virtual e também uma classificação baseada em pontos principais levantados durante o estudo realizado. Também mostra como são utilizadas as ferramentas de groupware para realização das tarefas dos Centros de Informação.

With the advent of the new technologies it can be observed an alteration in the execution of diverse daily tasks carried through by the libraries and centers of information. This work of course conclusion deals with one of these activities, the Service of Reference. With I assist it of the technologies of the information, many libraries had started to carry through the Service of Reference of different form. The call Service of Virtual Reference brings for web the daily one of the service of reference, the measure that is used of this as half. The Service of Virtual Reference already comes being carried through for diverse libraries of form structuralized and with the use of techniques of cooperative work and tools of groupware well. In Brazil still few centers exist that carry through this type of service of this form. Also very little it was written on this subject for Brazilian authors. The work also traces some characteristics of the Service of Virtual Reference and a classification based on raised main points during the carried through study. Also it shows as the tools of groupware for accomplishment of the tasks of the Centers of Information are used.
