Potencialidades e limitações para a implantação do turismo rural no município de Mostardas, RS

Abstract

O presente estudo tem por finalidade analisar as potencialidades e limitações para o desenvolvimento do turismo rural no município de Mostardas, estado do Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil. A escolha do tema se justifica por o turismo rural ser uma atividade com potencial para eventualmente contribuir para o desenvolvimento socioeconômico do meio rural de Mostardas. Para tanto, foi realizada uma pesquisa bibliográfica buscando nortear as discussões sobre a temática, seus conceitos, principais características, benefícios e desafios. Além disso, foram coletadas informações por meio do uso de entrevistas semiestruturadas com dois empreendedores rurais que pretendem implantar o turismo rural como forma de diversificação de renda nas suas propriedades e com cinco gestores municipais envolvidos diretamente na organização e planejamento da atividade turística. O conjunto de informações obtidas foram posteriormente organizadas e analisadas. Como resultado da pesquisa verificou-se que Mostardas apresenta potencial para desenvolver o turismo rural. O município possui em sua extensão territorial belezas naturais, riquezas históricas e patrimônio material e imaterial resultantes de sua formação histórica que podem ser explorados em uma rota turística, como as comunidades quilombolas, a costa da Laguna dos Patos, Lagoa do Peixe, orla marítima, Faróis, pedra da Anita, as propriedades rurais, a gastronomia local, o centro histórico de Mostardas, entre outros atrativos. Porém, há algumas limitações, que dificultam o desenvolvimento do turismo rural no município, como a falta de planejamento, investimento público, de infraestrutura e empreendedores que queiram investir nesta atividade. Conclui-se, portanto, que o turismo rural ainda carece de maior apoio por parte Poder Público, de investimento e de um plano de turismo que integre os setores público, privado e a comunidade no desenvolvimento do turismo rural como uma alternativa de diversificação de renda no meio rural de Mostardas.

The present study aims to analyze the potential and limitations for the development of rural tourism in the municipality of Mostardas, state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The choice of theme is justified by the fact that rural tourism is an activity with the potential to eventually contribute to the socioeconomic development of the rural environment of Mostardas. Therefore, a bibliographic research was carried out seeking to guide the discussions on the subject, its concepts, main characteristics, benefits and challenges. In addition, information was collected through the use of semi-structured interviews with two rural entrepreneurs who intend to implement rural tourism as a form of income diversification on their properties and with five municipal managers directly involved in the organization and planning of tourist activity. The set of information obtained was later organized and analyzed. As a result of the research it was found that Mustards has the potential to develop rural tourism. The municipality has in its territorial extension natural beauties, historical wealth and material and immaterial heritage resulting from its historical formation that can be explored in a tourist route, such as the quilombola communities, the coast of Laguna dos Patos, Lagoa do Peixe, seafront, Lighthouses, Pedra da Anita, rural properties, local cuisine, the historic center of Mostardas, among other attractions. However, there are some limitations that hinder the development of rural tourism in the municipality, such as the lack of planning, public investment, infrastructure and entrepreneurs who want to invest in this activity. It is concluded, therefore, that rural tourism still needs greater support from the Government, investment and a tourism plan that integrates the public, private and community sectors in the development of rural tourism as an alternative for income diversification. in the rural area of Mostardas.
